Cassandra Lloyd, a freshman on the Wright State track team, placed fourth in the 100 meter hurdles Friday at the USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Lloyd finished fifth in the preliminaries with a time of 13.92 and then posted a time of 13.71 in the finals to place fourth.
The 2008-09 recipient of Wright State's Peg Wynkoop Female Athlete of the Year Award, Lloyd qualified for the Junior meet by recording a school-record time of 13.69 at the NCAA Regional meet in Louisville on May 29.
Lloyd also was named the Horizon League's Outdoor Running Newcomer of the Year as she set a new conference record with a time of 13.79 at the League meet in Lisle, Illinois, on May 3.
