After three years as an assistant coach, Fabien Corbillon will be the interim head coach for cross country and track at Wright State for the 2009-10 season.

Prior arriving at WSU, Corbillon was a part of the staff at Lakehead University in Canada and Florida A & M University. While at Lakehead University, he worked for two years with the sprinters and helped the jumpers and throwers. During his two-year tenure at FAMU, he helped guide the Rattlers to the 2005 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference indoor and outdoor track and field titles. He also helped three athletes reach the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships and guided one athlete to the USA Track & Field Indoor Championships.

Corbillon holds USATF Coaching certification level I and level II in jumps and combined events. He is also an active member of the National Pole Vault Coaches Association and has successfully completed their pole vault curriculum.

Throughout the 12 years of his athletic career, Corbillon experienced different track and field events before specializing in the decathlon, an event that he won at the 1998 Center of France Regional Championships.

In 1999, Corbillon graduated from the Université d'Orléans (France) with the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education. In 2003, he received a Master's degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in sport psychology from Lakehead University. Corbillon is currently working on a doctorate degree in sports psychology at Florida State University. He brings to WSU more than eight years of sport psychology counseling experience and has helped many athletes in different sports (track & field, basketball, hockey, wrestling, Olympic weight lifting, road bike cycling, and fencing) improve their psychological preparation. Corbillon also teaches a course at Wright State.

A native of France, Corbillon and his wife, Flore, were married in July 2008.
