DAYTON, Ohio – After his first season at the helm of the Wright State Tennis Program, head coach Sean McCaffrey has announced two sessions of the first ever Raider Tennis Camps. The camps will be held at the Five Seasons Sports Club and run in two sessions for youth and adult players during the months of June and July.
The first session will run from June 29 – July 1, with youth instruction starting each day at 9 am and ending at 4 pm, while adult instruction will start at 6:00 pm and end at 7:30. All campers that attend the camp will receive lunch and each day will include a separate activity after lunch. All camps will include on-court Instruction and match play with others campers at the end of the day.
The second session will start on July 13 and run through July 15 with the schedules for both camps remaining the same. At all camps, head coach McCaffrey will be joined by members of the current Wright State men’s and women’s tennis teams that will aid with instruction.
The camps are dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of the game based on each individual’s skill level, while working in a fun atmosphere. The on court drill sessions give the player the necessary repetition for solid stroke production while the professional staff will critique court position, technique and footwork.

The fundamentals taught during on-court instruction and drill training will be put into practice during daily match play. Match play provides the beginner and intermediate player an excellent team and group orientation while learning how to compete on the court.
