The Raiders will bring back over 90-percent of their offensive production from last season and 23 of their 34 wins in the circle are returning in 2010. With these credentials, the Green and Gold were picked to finish third in the Horizon League's Preseason Coaches Poll. First year head coach Linda Garza will lead a team that returns all nine of their position starters and their top pitcher from a team that went 34-21 in 2009 and lost in the semifinals of the Horizon League Tournament.

The Raiders took time out of their Saturday to help out some friends on October 24 at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter. The Raiders helped to clean the facility, interact with some of the animals and see how the shelter operates from the inside.

New Wright State softball coach Linda Garza has announced the 2010 schedule, which features five in-season tournaments, including visits to Georgia, Florida, Mississippi and Texas.
