The Horizon League Tournament winning streak for the Wright State softball team ended at nine Friday afternoon as the Cleveland State Vikings used two two-run home runs and a four-run sixth to defeat the Raiders 8-2 in the winner's bracket semifinals.

A two-run home run by Amanda Houchin gave the Vikings the lead in the first and another two-run homer, this time from Danielle Young, made it 4-0 in the second.

WSU, though, battled back with a run in the third on a Louie Haney infield single with the bases loaded to drive in Lindsay Barrett and added another run in the fifth as Jamie Perkins hit her ninth home run of the season to left.

Cleveland State (33-15), however, broke the game open by scoring four runs in the sixth.

It was the first Horizon League Tournament loss for the Raiders since falling to Loyola 9-7 on May 12, 2006 in Canfield, Ohio.

Wright State (33-20) must now battle its way through the consolation bracket Saturday to stay alive, starting at 11 a.m. against the Loyola/Valparaiso/Green Bay/Butler winner.
