The Horizon League office announced today that five Raiders were named to the Academic All-Horizon League teams. Senior Kyle Fetters earned the honors for the third time. Junior Jen Agueci and seniors Michelle Hammond, Lexi Leonhard, and Tina Paunicka earned the honors for the first time.

The Raiders defense allowed two goals to a Horizon League foe for the first time all season and couldn't muster enough for a comeback versus Valparaiso at the Horizon League Tournament. Nicole Amador netted the lone goal for WSU in the 63rd minute, but VU scored goals in each half to end WSU's season with an 11-7-2 record.

The Raiders brought home a handful of awards from the Horizon League on Friday afternoon, with head coach Pat Ferguson being named Co-Coach of the Year. Three players were named to the All-Horizon League First Team and one WSU student-athlete was named to the All-Horizon League Second Team as selected by the nine head coaches in the league. The Green and Gold had a pair of players named to the All-Newcomer Team, marking the 11th time that WSU has had two players honored as top-newcomers.
