CHICAGO, Ill. – The Wright State women’s soccer team dropped their fourth contest on a late goal when Milwaukee tallied a marker with under two-minutes remaining in the Horizon League semifinals in Chicago on Friday evening. The Raiders were tied 1-1 at the half, but the last minute goal ended their season on a chilly evening in the Windy City.
The Panthers struck with their first goal of the match in the 12th minute when Erin Kreuser took a pass from Sarah Hagen in the box and snuck one into the net to push UWM to a 1-0 lead.
The Raiders would respond with a first half tally of their own when Amber Kasmer buried her eighth goal of the season off of a crossing pass from Megan Bush. It was the first goal that WSU has scored against Milwaukee since the 2004 season and it knotted the match at 1-1 heading to halftime.

After playing 43:12 of the final 45 minutes scoreless, the Panthers tallied the match winner off of a corner kick. Nicole Sperl teed up the corner and Sarah Teegarden knocked it in for the match winner.
In the match, the Panthers took 13 shots to seven for Wright State and sophomore goalkeeper Meghan Hackerson made three saves in goal for the Raiders. Kasmer was the only WSU player with multiple shots – taking two in the match.
The Raiders end the season with a 10-9-1 overall record, marking the fourth straight season that the women’s soccer team has posted ten or more victories. Over the past three seasons, the Green and Gold have amassed 46 victories to account for the most productive four year period in the 24 year history of the program.
