MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Wright State women’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Milwaukee on Sunday afternoon at Engelman Field. The Green and Gold couldn’t keep the league-leading Panthers off the board all game, as UWM scored the match winner in the 77th minute.

The two teams were scoreless at the half, but Milwaukee (9-5-3, 7-0-0 HL) would connect after a corner kick was awarded in the 77th minute of the contest. Kate Megna sent a crossing pass into the box and Sarah Hagen headed it past a diving Meghan Hackerson to the far post.

Hackerson made 11 saves in the match, the second highest total in her career, and Morgan Butler took two of the Raiders five shots in the match.

The Raiders fall to 9-6-2 overall and are now 4-2-0 in Horizon League play heading into their final two matches of the season. WSU will travel to Youngstown State on Friday, October 23 for a 4:00 match before closing out the season with a Sunday, October 25 tilt at Detroit.
