PITTSBURGH, Pa.-The Wright State men's tennis team picked up its first win of the season and evened the season record at 1-1 with the 5-2 victory over Duquesne (1-1) this past Saturday, October 2.

The Raiders won four of the six singles matches. Quincy Jones won in the first spot, 7-6 (5), 7-5, over Devon Peightal. Lance Koetter defeated Rodrigo Lacayo, 7-5, 3-6, 6-1, in the second position. Craig Smith won over Michael Ortega, 7-5, 6-1, as the number three. Brian Savino picked up the three-set victory over Robert Ojeda, 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 (3).

The Raider doubles teams picked up the point, 2-1 with wins in the first and second spots. Koetter and Smith defeated Ortega and Peightal, 9-8 (6) and Jones with Kevin Teufel won over Lacayo and Paul Clough, 8-6.

The Raiders continue the fall portion of the season this week at the Louisville Invitational starting on Friday.
