CHICAGO, Ill. – Senior Jonah Longino picked a great time to score his first career goal, as he struck with the match winner in the 59th minute of the Wright State men’s soccer teams match at Loyola on Satuday evening. WSU attempted only three shots in the match, but connected on the lone marker to improve to 3-8-1 overall and 2-3-1 in Horizon League play.
The two teams played the first 45-minutes scoreless and the two teams headed to halftime tied at 0-0.
It didn’t take long for the Green and Gold to connect in the second half as Longino teed up a free kick from just outside the 18-yard box. The free kick was set up when the LU keeper came out to play a ball and was whistled for a yellow card and the Raiders converted for the lone marker of the contest.
