The Wright State golf team wrapped up its season Tuesday as the Raiders placed fifth as the Horizon League Championships, which ended with a single round at the Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Kentucky.
Charlie Doll was the top finisher for WSU as he was second with a three-round score of 217, five strokes behind medalist Jake Scott of Cleveland State. Scott Thompson tied for 15th with a 229 while Matt Bond tied for 18th with a 230.
The tournament concluded the 25-year career of Wright State coach Fred Jefferson, who announced his retirement last August. During his tenure, the Raiders made five NCAA appearances and won six conference titles. He was also selected as a conference Coach of the Year five times and was WSU's Coach of the Year on four occasions.
