After a grueling ten day trial in Cary, N.C., junior Casey McGrew was named to the 22-man roster for the USA Collegiate National Team as announced by USA Baseball on Thursday. McGrew becomes only the second player in WSU history to tout the Red, White and Blue jersey and will join head coach Rob Cooper, who is an assistant coach on the squad, during Team USA's summer schedule that includes trips to Japan and British Columbia.

Junior outfielder Casey McGrew was selected as one of 44 collegiate baseball players to be invited to Cary, N.C. to participate in the USA National Team Trials. McGrew is the third player in WSU baseball history to be invited to the trials, joining Jeremy Hamilton and Brian Anderson as players to be given the opportunity to gain a roster spot on Team USA.

Michael Schum became the first Raiders in recent history to garner Freshman All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball Magazine as one of the relief pitchers on the list. Schum led the Horizon League in ERA and was named the Horizon League's Relief Pitcher of the Year on his way to earning rookie All-American honors.
