MOREHEAD, KY - The weather outside doesn't suggest that the college baseball season is already a month old, but it did force the Wright State baseball team to cancel its season-opening series. The Raiders will not travel to Morehead State this weekend to open the season, head coach Rob Cooper announced today.
The Raiders were schedule to face off with the Eagles in a three-game series starting Friday, February 16, but the inclement weather forced the cancelation. The Raiders will continue practice during the week, preparing now for their series against nationally ranked Mississippi.
The Raiders will travel to Oxford, Miss. later this week and face off with the #18 Rebels on Friday, February 23 in the series opener, starting at 4:30. The two teams will then play a single game on Saturday and Sunday, each game scheduled for a 2:30 start.
