DAYTON, Ohio – The Wright State cross country program traveled north to compete against a field of Buckeye State foes at the All-Ohio Championships on Friday afternoon. The men’s squad posted a 26th place finish in the field of 42 teams, while the women’s team placed 21st out of 41 teams.

Freshman Jake McCubbin and Randy Depoy were the third and fourth WSU runners to finish, while junior Kurt Throckmorton, sophomore Ben Livingston and junior Kevin Sheehan rounded out the finishers for the Raiders.
In the open race, sophomore Sean Herbert was the top finisher for the Raiders in a time of 30:44.
The women’s race saw sophomore Natalie Hopwood cross the finish line in 57th place with a time of 19:38. Hopwood’s time is her third best mark of the season and the sixth fastest posted by a WSU runner this season. Bianca Walker was the second WSU runner to finish with a time of 20:13 and sophomore Alyssa Glenn crossed the finish line in a time of 21:01.
A trio of freshman completed the lineup for the Green and Gold, with Covington, Ohio native Ashley Diltz placed 155th with a time of 21:12, followed by Kristen Goodwin with a time of 21:17 and rounded out by Erin Cull with a time of 21:25.
The Raiders will be on the training path until they travel to the Horizon League Championships in Green Bay, Wis. on November 1.
