DAYTON, Ohio – Sophomore swimmer Molley Pipkorn has been named the Horizon League Swimmer of the Week for the fourth time this season, announced the league office on Monday (February 1). The Hartland, Wis. native won a pair of individual swims versus Xavier last Saturday and improved her overall mark to 21-1 in dual meet freestyle swims this season.

Pipkorn won the 200 freestyle event versus the Musketeers with a time of 1:53.79 and took the 500 freestyle with a mark of 5:04.32. This season, the sophomore has lost only once in a dual meet freestyle event – that coming at #30 Ohio State – and owns the top time in four of the six freestyle events. Pipkorn owns the top five times in the 100, 200 and 500 freestyle events for WSU this season and ranks among the team leaders in nine of the 14 competed events in 2009-10.

This marks the fourth times this season that Pipkorn has won Swimmer of the Week and the fifth career honor for the sophomore. Her four awards are the most for a Horizon League swimmer this season, with no other competitor winning more than two.

The Raiders will wrap up their regular season with a meet at Cincinnati on Saturday, February 6 at 1:00.
