Senior Stevi DiMasso Won Diver of the Week for the First Time in Her Career

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Wright State swimming and diving program won three of the four weekly awards from the Horizon League for their performances at Ohio State last week. Sophomore Molley Pipkorn won the women’s Swimmer of the Week award for the third time this season, while Caleb Nettleton and Stevi DiMasso each received Diver of the Week honors from the league office.

 

Pipkorn won her fourth career weekly award after winning two individual events and a relay event versus the Buckeyes. The Hartland, Wis. native, posted winnings times of 53.10 and 1:53.08 in the 100- and 200-yard freestyles, respectively.  Her other top performance came in the 400 freestyle relay as her team notched a winning mark of 3:35.11.  Pipkorn also touched the wall second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:07.48.

 

DiMasso placed third in the three-meter diving competition and fourth off the one-meter board at Ohio State on Saturday.  The Cincinnati, Ohio native posted a three-meter score of 252.15 and one-meter score of 229.50 to earn her first career weekly honor.


 

 

 

Nettleton wins his third career honor and first of the 2009-10 season after a third-place finish off the one-meter board and fourth-place showing from the three-meter height in a dual meet at Ohio State.  The North Canton, Ohio native totaled scores of 291.45 and 246.60 from the one- and three-meter boards, respectively.
