DAYTON, Ohio – The Wright State swimming and diving team swept a dual meet with Xavier as the men’s team took a 149-72 decision and the women’s squad claimed a 147-57 result in their final home meet of the season. Eight different competitors won events on the men’s side and there were nine different women’s winners for the Green and Gold on the day.
In the women’s program, WSU came out and won the first eight events, with the Raiders taking the top two spots in eight of the 13 events. Pipkorn won the 200 Freestyle and the 500 Freestyle events to improve to 21-1 in freestyle swims at dual meets this year.
The Green and Gold won both relay swims and the only event they failed to win during the women’s program was the 100 Backstroke. Seniors Stevi DiMasso and Ana Rubin each won events, while Candace Thornburg was a member of both winning relay teams and placed second in the 100 Butterfly.

Seniors Danny Munoz and Nathan Demchuk won individual events, while T.J. Collins was a member of both winning relay efforts.
The Raiders will close out their regular season with a meet at Cincinnati on Saturday, February 6 starting at 1:00.
