Men's Soccer Defeats Cincinnati 4-2

It was a chilly Monday evening at WSU's Alumni Field as the Wright State men's soccer team picked up its first win and remained undefeated with a 4-2 decision over Cincinnati. WSU's AJ Paterson picked up a hat trick for the Raiders.
First Half Highlights
Paterson picked up his first goal of the season and the Raiders first of the year as he converted a penalty kick at 6:45. The Bearcats (1-1) scored at 26:34 on a free kick just outside the box to knot the game at one each. 26 minutes into the first half. The Raiders picked up six shots to UC's four.
Second Half Highlights
WSU's Alec Philippe collected his first goal of the season at 51:19 but UC came right back with goal less than two minutes later at 53:10 by Austin Smythe, from Mads Tranberg. It wasn't much longer until a pass from Austin Kinley found Paterson for his second goal of the night at 56:48. Paterson picked up the hat trick and the Raiders final goal of the night unassisted at 83:01.
On the game, WSU finished with 12 shots to UC's nine. Paterson led the way with three shots while Philippe ended with two. The WSU defense and goalie Joel Sundell held strong.
