Chris Grant was named Special Assistant to the Athletic Director at Wright State in August 2009. He assists Director of Athletics Bob Grant with all day-to-day activities and directs the CHAMPS/LifeSkills Program.

Grant came to WSU after working at AT&T in Atlanta for two years as a Small Business Account Executive, where he was a regional E-Commerce Sales leader.

Prior to AT&T, Grant was involved with Southern University for two years. He served as a Special Assistant to the Executive Director for the university's museum of art. Grant assisted in developing and securing funds for the museum through grants, donations and formal fund development and also was involved in the planning, coordination and directing of special events.

While at Southern, Grant also served as a graduate assistant coach and an academic advisor for the men's basketball program. He aided with practice and individual skill development, camps, coordinated team travel and established community outreach programs. Off the court, Grant assisted with planning and implementing departmental development and marketing events.

A 2004 graduate of Kentucky State with a bachelor's degree in public administration, Grant was a four-year starter at free safety for the Thorobred football team and an All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honoree. He earned a master's degree in public administration with a concentration in finance from Southern in 2006.
