Jason Franklin is in his first year as the head athletic trainer at Wright State, but he is no stranger to Wright State and the Nutter Center with his prior experiences.

He then served as an athletic trainer for the Springfield (OH) City Schools and at Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida.

After returning to Ohio, Franklin worked at both the Franciscan Medical Center and the Kettering Sports Medicine Center, with his main focus being the head trainer of the Dayton Bombers minor league hockey team for four seasons. Along with treatment and rehabilitation of injuries, Franklin was also responsible for all strength and condition programs.

Franklin, who joined the WSU training staff in 2003, worked with the women's basketball team for five seasons before switching to the men's basketball squad this year.

A member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Franklin resides in Beavercreek with his wife, Angie, who competed in women's soccer for the Raiders from 1992-95, and daughters Sydney, age five, and Avery, born in May 2008.
