DAYTON, OH - As the summer heat creeps in and the temperatures come to a boil its time again for summer baseball to invade the Dayton Area. The 27th Annual Gregg Nischwitz Memorial Baseball Tournament kicks off play on June 14th and the 25-team tournament culminates on June 17 on the campus of Wright State University.
The Tournament starts on Thursday, June 14 with two games at Nischwitz Stadium, located behind the Nutter Center on the Wright State campus, and runs at seven different sites throughout the next three days.
The round-robin tournament features 25 teams of high school aged players competing for the right to play in Sunday's single-elimination championship round held at Nischwitz Stadium.
This season's tournament will be played at seven different sites, including Wright State's Nischwitz Stadium, Fairborn High School, Wayne High School, Xenia High School, Franklin High School, Fenwick High School and Brandt Athletic Field. Admission to all games is FREE and donations will be taken at all the sites and all money given will benefit the Gregg Nischwitz Memorial Scholarship fund and the Wright State baseball program.
