Women's Soccer Announces 2012 Schedule

Seven home matches along with a tournament in Colorado highlight the 2012 Wright State women's soccer schedule, which was announced on Monday.

The Raiders, under eighth-year head coach Pat Ferguson, open the exhibition portion of their schedule on Sunday, August 5, at Xavier. Following another road exhibition against Louisville on Sunday, August 12, WSU opens the regular season at home on Friday, August 17, versus Ohio.

After hosting Mount Vernon Nazarene on August 20, Wright State heads to Boulder, Colorado, for the Omni Hotels Colorado Classic. The Raiders take on Denver on Friday, August 24, followed by the host Buffaloes on Sunday, August 26.

WSU closes out the nonleague portion of its schedule with six more matches, including home contests against DePaul (August 31), IPFW (September 7) and Morehead State (September 16) and a visit to crosstown rival Dayton on Friday, September 14. The remainder of the slate is seven Horizon League contests, followed by the league tournament.

Wright State finished 10-8-3 overall in 2011 and advanced to the Horizon League championship match before falling to regular-season champ Milwaukee.
