Garr ranked second in the state in service aces (181) as a junior and was seventh in block assists (108) and 15th in total blocks (158) while leading the Dragons in kills with 341.  Silver Creek advanced to the state final four in 2009 and to the semi-state in 2010.

Meng (Indianapolis, IN/Lawrence North), a 5-10 setter, was an All-State honoree as a senior as she had 1055 assists, 185 digs, 70 kills and 62 blocks for the Wildcats.

Meng, who holds the school record for career assists, joined Garr on the Indiana All-Star South team and helped lead Lawrence North to the sectional finals and a 27-7 record in 2012.

Puthoff (Cincinnati, OH/Mount Notre Dame), a 5-8 defensive specialist/outside hitter, tallied 149 digs for the Cougars this season as they went undefeated during the regular season before finishing 25-1.  Mount Notre Dame won the Division I state title in 2011.

Puthoff, like Garr, was named to the AVCA Under Armor All-American Senior Watch List.

Ruffing (Powell, OH/Olentangy Liberty), a 6-1 outside hitter, had 350 kills, 285 digs, 90 blocks, 86 assists and 32 aces as a senior for the Patriots, who finished 17-5, 12-2 in the Ohio Capital Conference's Central Division, and advanced to the district finals.  Named a Central District All-Star, she was First Team All-Central District in 2012 and Second Team in 2012

Like Garr and Puthoff, Ruffing was named to the AVCA Under Armor All-American Senior Watch List.

Smith (Stoutsville, OH/Amanda Clearcreek), a 5-10 outside hitter, was an All-Central District performer for the Aces in 2012 as she recorded 219 kills along with 145 digs, 39 blocks and 26 aces.  Amanda Clearcreek finished 18-7 and advanced to the Division II regionals for the first time in school history.

Smith, a two-time All-Mid-State League Buckeye Division selection, has also received all-league honors in track and tennis and has been recognized as a scholar-athlete all four years.

"The coaching staff is extremely excited to have these student-athletes join the program," said Clements. "We anticipate these five young ladies to make an immediate impact towards our goal of making the Horizon League Tournament. This is one of the most talented classes this staff has recruited and we have high hopes for each of them and the future of Wright State Volleyball."
