Grant Profiled in NCAA's Champion Magazine
Release: Tuesday 01/23/2014
by WSU Athletic Media Relations

Wright State University Director of Athletics Bob Grant was recently featured in the winter 2014 issue of Champion magazine, a production of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

In the “Faces of the NCAA” column, Grant talks about some of the lengths he goes to make the Wright State student-athlete experience a special one.  Grant, who took over as director nearly six years ago, attends every meeting of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), has each team over to his house for dinner and when student-athletes earn their degree, they sign the "Raider Wall" outside Grant's office.

The feature focuses on his “#uhyeah” initiative where he tweets each team’s wins with a simple “#uhyeah”.  Part of the “#uhyeah” movement includes a t-shirt with the saying on the back for those that go above and beyond.  Grant credits this initiative for helping foster greater communication and bonding with Wright State's student-athletes.
