Behind five home runs and a 24-hit attack, the baseball team scored in every inning in rolling to a 25-0 win over Wilmington Tuesday night at Nischwitz Stadium.
WSU jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first as Garrett Gray and Kieston Greene each hit two-run homers and Michael Timm made it 7-0 with another two-run home run in the second. Timm connected on another two-run homer in the fourth and Greene added his second home run of the day, a solo shot, in the sixth.
Timm paced the Raider attack with four hits, five RBI and three runs scored while Greene had three hits, three RBI and four runs scored, Mark Fowler three hits, four RBI and two runs scored, Gray three hits, three runs scored and two RBI and Beau Phillips three hits, three RBI and three runs scored.
On the mound, Isaac Beller, David Deliz, E.J. Trapino and Luke Mamer combined for a three-hit shutout, striking out nine and walking three.Wright State (5-9) opens Horizon League play this weekend as the Raiders host Milwaukee in a three-game series at Nischwitz Stadium. The Raiders and Panthers open the set Friday at 6:30, followed by another game Saturday at 2:00 and Sunday at 1:00.
