The Wright State baseball team scored early and often in posting a 7-1 win at Ohio Tuesday night.
A Kody Krizman RBI single and a Bobcat error accounted for WSU's two runs in the second and the lead grew to 5-0 an inning later as Jake Hibberd had a solo home run to center, Ryan Ashe a run-scoring infield single and Krizman a sacrifice fly to left.
The Raiders rounded out their scoring in the fourth with two runs on a passed ball and another Ashe infield hit.
While the offense was in high gear, WSU pitching was in control on the mound, with the only Bobcat run coming on a solo home run in the third. Seven Raider pitchers combined to scatter 10 hits and a walk while striking out four.
The final of those seven pitchers, Michael Schum, made his 100th collegiate appearance by pitching the ninth, striking out one.
Ashe led the way at the plate with three hits and two RBI while Hibberd, Corey Davis and Tristan Moore each had two hits.
Wright State (12-10) returns to Horizon League play this weekend with a three-game set at Valparaiso, starting with a single game Friday at 4:00 Eastern.
