Wright State junior Garrett Gray and senior Tristan Moore were each named First Team All-Mideast Region Monday by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Rawlings.Gray (Lewisburg, OH/Tri-County North), a catcher/designated hitter, hit .354 with three home runs and 36 RBI and was sixth in the Horizon League with 17 doubles. In league play, Gray hit .405 with 25 RBI and eight doubles. He was the Horizon League Batter of the Week on May 7 as he went 10 for 15 in four games against Cincinnati and Valparaiso, including a five-for-five performance versus the Crusaders in the series opener with a two-run home run, three RBI and two runs scored.
Moore (New Albany, OH/New Albany), an outfielder, was the Horizon League Player of the Year in 2012 as he led the league in runs scored with 56 and in runs batted in with 51. He was also second in the conference with a .358 batting average and 121 total bases, third with a .528 slugging percentage and fourth in hits with 82 and in on-base percentage at .426. Moore also tied for fourth in home runs with seven and tied for eighth in the doubles with 14.
A Second Team All-Mideast Region selection in 2011, Moore hit .364 in league play this season with a team-best six home runs and 34 RBI. He was named the CollegeBaseballInsider.com National Player of the Week on April 10 and was later selected as the MVP of the Joe Nuxhall Classic as the Raiders won that tournament for the first time ever.
Wright State finished the season with a final record of 37-21.
