The Wright State men’s and women’s tennis and golf teams prepare this week to compete in their Horizon League Championships this weekend—tennis in Indianapolis and golf near Orlando, Florida.

The men’s tennis team will start their title hunt as the #1 seed after taking first place in the regular season.  WSU posted a record of 18-4, 7-0 Horizon during the regular season and were led by Martin Arguello with a 27-11 singles mark at number one.  Jamison Clark also surpassed the 20-win mark in singles and will carry a 21-11 record into the tournament.  The Raiders will take on the winner of the Cleveland State/Detroit match Saturday morning at 10:30 am.

The women’s tennis team will start their Horizon League action on Friday as the #5 seed against #4 seed Butler at 1 pm.   A win in the first round will see WSU battle #1 seed UIC Saturday at 2:30 pm.  Alex Bastock leads WSU with a singles record of 14-14.

Golf swings into action in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, Friday through Sunday.  At last year’s championships, the Raiders finished second.
