Swimming Competes in Day Two of HL Championships

The swimming and diving teams competed in day two of the Horizon League Championships Thursday, which was held at the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center in Brown Deer, Wisconsin.

Senior Hermanus Botha highlighted the day for the Raiders as he set a new Horizon League and school record in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.00 in the preliminaries.  He went on to win the event with a time of 20.14 in the finals.

Pawel Grzebala finished second in the 500 free with a time of 4:29.15 while Neena Zwier was third in the one-meter diving competition with 255.25 points.

The championships continue through Saturday.
