The Wright State men's soccer team took the lead late in the first half, only to see Western Michigan tie it in the second half and score the game-winner in the opening minute of the second overtime for a 2-1 decision Tuesday night at Alumni Field.
Freshman forward Brett Elder gave WSU a 1-0 lead at the 42:48 mark of the first half as his shot from the left side of the box sailed over the Bronco goalkeeper's head and into the right side of the net. It was Elder's second goal of the season, with the assist going to Finlay Milne, his first of the year.
Western Michigan, however, tied it at the 67:04 mark on a goal by Shane Lyons and then recorded the game-winner just 55 seconds into the second overtime.
The Raiders held a 13-9 shot advantage and also led in 4-2 in corner kicks.
Wright State (2-6) wraps up the five-match homestand and opens Horizon League play on Saturday as the Raiders host UIC at 7:00.
