Junior outfielder Honnah Susor of the Wright State softball team has been Third Team All-Midwest Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, it was announced on Thursday.
Susor (Oregon, OH/Clay), who was selected First Team All-Horizon League earlier this month, finished third in the league in hitting with a .377 average. She also ranked first in triples (8), second in total bases (90), on-base percentage (.471) and stolen bases (22), third in hits (61), fourth in runs scored (40), tied for fourth in walks (26) and sixth in slugging percentage (.556).
In league play, Susor was the leader in batting average (.449), hits (35), runs scored (24) and triples (5). She was second in total bases (52), on-base percentage (.511) and stolen bases (14), tied for third in doubles (7) and tied for fifth in slugging percentage (.667).
Susor recorded 18 multi-hit games on this season, including three hits against Cleveland State, Oakland and Youngstown State, and had a 13-game hitting streak during late March and early April. She also reached base in 26 straight games earlier in the year and closed out the season with a 16-game streak.
Susor is the first Raider ever to be selected Third Team All-Region and is the eighth WSU player ever to earn All-Region honors, joining First Teamers Angie Lala (1997), Amber Kolle (1999), Jherica Williams (2008) and Allison Cox (2009) and Second Teamers Michelle Demmitt (1999), Annie Divac (2000) and Nikki Scott (2001).
