The Wright State volleyball team could not overcome a .300 hitting night by Miami as the RedHawks won in three sets Tuesday night at Millett Hall.  Miami won the match 25-18, 25-19, 25-16.

A Hadley Sterett kill drew the Raiders to within one at 16-15 in the opening set, only to see the RedHawks tally the next four points.  A Maddie Lohmeier kill made it 20-18, but WSU would get no closer as Miami scored the final five points.

A 6-0 run allowed the RedHawks to take control of set two at 17-10 and Miami closed out the match with a 9-2 burst to break away from a 16-14 lead.

The RedHawks led just 43-37 in kills, but outhit the Raiders .300-.172.

Megan Hopkins paced WSU with 15 kills while Haley Garr added seven along with six blocks off the bench.  Lohmeier had 31 assists, Jessie Thornton 18 digs and Sterett 14 digs.

Wright State (3-1) returns to action this weekend at the Hampton Inn Invitational, hosted by Bowling Green.  The Raiders face the host Falcons on Friday at 7:00, followed by IPFW (10:00) and Loyola (5:30) on Saturday.
