The Wright State softball program recently assisted with the Reds Rookie Success League, a coed, character-building baseball introductory program for 7-13 year olds in the Greater Dayton area.
The league, which ran from June 13-July 6 at Kettering Field, stressed character virtues and life skills while teaching the fundamentals of the game. Visits by Dayton Dragons personnel and a trip to Fifth Third Field for a Dragons game highlighted the program.
The Raider coaching staff, along with senior-to-be Michelle Baker, served as guides and mentors.
