Golf Fifth After Opening Round of League Championship

The Wright State golf team is fifth after the opening round of the Horizon League Championship, held Sunday in Howey-In-The-Hills, Florida. 

Junior Chris Rossi leads the way for the Raiders, finishing in a tie for fourth of 40 after shooting a 72 for the opening round. Senior Ryan Wenzler came in just behind Rossi with a 73, good enough for a share of sixth place. Freshman Austin Schoonmaker is tied for 22th with an opening round 78.

The championship continues with the second round on Monday morning starting at 7:30.
