Women's Tennis Sweeps Horizon League Weekly Awards

For the second time this season, the Wright State women's tennis team swept the weekly Horizon League awards as junior Karoline Haller was named as the Player of the Week while Haller along with senior Linsey Verstrepen was chosen as the doubles Team of the Week.

Haller (Bekkestua, Norway) won twice in #1 singles, winning 6-3, 6-1 at Niagara and 6-2, 6-3 at St. Bonaventure.  She teamed with Verstrepen (Westerlo, Belgium) for two victories in #2 doubles, winning 6-0 over Niagara and 6-1 against St. Bonaventure.

On the season, Haller has six singles wins and has partnered with Verstrepen for 11 victories in doubles.

This is the second time that WSU has swept the Horizon League weekly awards as, on January 24, senior Tori Turner was named as the Player of the Week while Turner along with sophomore Taylor Culbertson was chosen as the doubles Team of the Week.

Wright State (7-7) is off until Saturday, March 18, when the Raiders travel to Evansville for matches against Southern Indiana and Evansville.
