Three members of the Wright State indoor track team were selected Academic All-Horizon League as announced by the league on Friday in senior Alexandra Brown, junior Katie Abrahamowicz and sophomore Maria Heckman.
Brown (Yellow Springs, OH/Yellow Springs), who holds a 3.78 grade point average in Biological Sciences, was an Academic All-Horizon League selection earlier this year in Cross Country. She set a school record in the 3000 meter run at the Marshall Invitational and was the Horizon League Track Runner of the Week on January 24 and February 21.
Abrahamowicz (Beavercreek, OH/Carroll), a Psychology major with a 3.94 grade point average, holds Wright State's top mark in the long jump and triple jump and second-best in the 55 meter hurdles. She also has the team' fourth-best mark in the 60 meter hurdles and in the high jump.
Heckman (Minster, OH/Minster), a Sports Science major with a 4.00 grade point average, set a school record in the pole vault at the Cedarville Invitational.
Wright State begins competition at the Horizon League Championships on Saturday, which will take place in Youngstown. The championships continue through Sunday.
