Softball Falls in Final Game of Hilltopper Spring Fling

The Wright State softball team dropped a 6-1 decision to IUPUI Sunday in its final game of the Hilltopper Spring Fling in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

IUPUI broke the game open early as the Jaguars scored two runs in the first and added four more in the second to take a 6-0 lead.

The lone Raider run came in the fourth as senior designated player Vivi Marquez smacked a solo home run to left center, her first of the season.

Alexis Mayle paced the WSU offense with two hits.

Wright State (2-8) is at Lipscomb on Wednesday, March 1, for a 4:00 Eastern single game.
