Swimming Competes in Day Three of HL Championships

The men's and women's swimming & diving teams competed in the third day of the Horizon League Championships Friday in Chicago. After three days, the WSU men currently sit in fourth and the women are in the sixth spot.

The women were led by Nikki Borgerding and Emily Hayhow.  Borgerding and Hayhow set new school records in the 100 breaststroke and 100 backstroke, respectively, while Hayhow added another first place finish and made the B cut in the 100 fly.  Kyah Fleckner notched another victory in the one-meter dive and will be a regional qualifier for diving.  The women's 400 medley relay team also set a new school record .

On the men's side, Dominic Poletta took third place in the 100 fly for the Raiders, while PJ Musser and Trevor Keriazes both added fourth place finishes in the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, respectively.

The championships conclude Saturday.
