The Wright State women's basketball team, holding an 11-game winning streak and in first place in the Horizon League standings, will play at Cleveland State Thursday at 5:30 and at Youngstown State Saturday at 4:30 pm.

Follow the Raiders: The games will be shown on ESPN3 live.

Fans are invited to a special watch party at Milano's Restaurant on North Fairfield Thursday for the men's and women's basketball games.  The women play at 5:30 pm at Cleveland State and the men play at Youngstown State at 7:45 pm.

Wright State: The Raiders, now 20-5 and 12-1, beat UIC Saturday afternoon 62-51 to raise their winning streak to 11 straight.  Each win sets a new Division I record and closes in on the overall school record of 13 set in 1986-87.  This is the latest the Raiders have ever been in first place.

It is the fourth straight year that the Raiders have won at least 20 games.  12 league wins ties the most by WSU women’s basketball and has been done four previous times.

Currently, WSU is one of eight teams nationally that have not lost in 2017.

Three Raiders average in double figures: Chelsea Welch (18.3), Lexi Smith (13.3), Emily Vogelpohl (11.5).  Symone Simmons (8.9) and Smith (9.2) lead the Raiders in rebounding.  Simmons is at 9.6 points per game while Mackenzie Taylor sits at 9.6.

Last Time Out: The Raiders notched win #12 in league play as they defeated UIC with Welch leading the way with 21 points, including 10 free throws.  Smith led the Raiders with 13 points while Simmons grabbed 11 boards.  Vogelpohl added 10 points.

Series: Wright State trails CSU 35-34 overall, including a home WSU win earlier 84-63.  The Raiders lead the YSU series 31-25, including an earlier-season win 71-58 at the Nutter Center.

Cleveland State: The Vikings, 12-13 and 7-7, lost twice last weekend at Green Bay 79-60 and at Milwaukee 76-72.  Ashanti Abshaw leads CSU with 18.4 points and 6.5 rebounds a game.  Khayla Livingston averages 15.3 points.

Youngstown State: The Penguins, 8-17 and 4-10, have dropped seven of the last eight games with the lone win coming over UIC February 4.  With some injuries this season, YSU has three players who average better than 11 points a game as Natalie Myers leads the Penguins at 4.0 rebounds a game.

Looking Ahead: The Raiders head to Detroit Mercy for a Monday night game before heading back home to host Green Bay and Milwaukee to end the regular season.

Katrina Merriweather Show: The Katrina Merriweather Show returns February 27 at TJ Chumps in Fairborn at 5:30 pm.  The show can be heard on WONE, 980 and the iHeart app and watched through the wsuraiders.com.
