Women's Tennis Sweeps Horizon League Weekly Awards

The Wright State women's tennis team swept this week's Horizon League awards as senior Tori Turner was named as the Player of the Week while Turner along with sophomore Taylor Culbertson was chosen as the doubles Team of the Week.

Turner (Hamilton, OH/Lakota West) won twice in #6 singles on Saturday as the Raiders went 3-1 overall for the week.  She posted 6-0, 6-0 over IUPUI that afternoon as WSU won 6-1 and then clinched 4-3 win over Dayton with 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 win in the evening, with both matches taking place at the South Regency Tennis Center.

Culbertson (Springfield, OH/Tecumseh) teamed with Turner for two wins in #1 doubles.  After falling 7-6 at #7 Ohio State on Friday, the duo were victorious 7-6 at Notre Dame on Sunday.

On the season, Turner has recorded six singles wins and the Turner/Culbertson duo has won eight times.

Wright State (3-2) hosts a pair of matches this weekend at the South Regency Tennis Center, taking on Eastern Illinois on Saturday, January 28, at 2:30 followed by Butler on Sunday, January 29, at 2:00.
