Klusman Named to Horizon League All-Academic Team

Junior outside hitter Katie Klusman has been named to the 2016 Horizon League Volleyball All-Academic Team, it was announced on Friday by the league office.

Klusman (Cincinnati, OH/Mother of Mercy), who was selected to the team for the second straight year, holds a 3.94 grade point average in Chemistry and has appeared on the league's Academic Honor Roll the past two years.

On the court, Klusman is third in the league in kills per set at 3.57.  She has reached double figures in kills 20 times this season, double figures in digs on 11 occasions and has posted nine double-doubles. 

Klusman was selected to the USF Classic All-Tournament Team in September after recording 38 kills and 17 digs over three matches, including 15 kills against host South Florida.  She has tallied a season-high 23 kills versus Toledo and Milwaukee and had a career-best 30 digs at Valparaiso.

Wright State (9-18, 4-10 Horizon) travels to league-leading Cleveland State tonight for a 7:00 before closing out the regular season on Sunday, November 13, tonight with a noon home match against Green Bay.
