Three members of the cross country teams were named to the Horizon League All-Academic Team, it was announced on Friday by the league office. Sophomore Hailey Brumfield and senior Alexandra Brown were chosen to the women's team while sophomore Ryan Dunn was selected to the men's team.
Brumfield (Tipp City, OH/Tippecanoe), who holds a 4.00 grade point average in Sports Science, was named the Horizon League Women's Runner of the Week on October 17 after finishing second out of 366 runners at the Jenna Strong Classic, hosted by Wilmington College. Earlier this season, Brumfield placed 13th at the Queen City Invitational, 14th at the Parkside Open and 15th at the All-Ohio Championships.
Brown (Yellow Springs, OH/Yellow Springs), who holds a 3.75 grade point average in Biological Sciences, placed fifth at the Jenna Strong Classic as she and Brumfield helped lead the Raider to a first-place finish as a team. She was also sixth at the Parkside Open, ninth at the Queen City Invitational and 20th at the All-Ohio Championships.
Dunn (Bellefontaine, OH/Bellefontaine), who holds a 4.00 grade point average in Electrical Engineering, placed 42nd at the Queen City Invitational, 70th at the Parkside Open and 94th at the Jenna Strong Classic.
Wright State will compete in the Horizon League Championships Saturday in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
