Volleyball Stays on the Road

The volleyball team will stay on the road with a match Friday night at Youngstown State at 6 pm and at Oakland Saturday at 4 pm.  Both will be shown live on ESPN3.

Wright State: The Raiders currently are 8-15 and 3-7.  Katie Klusman continues to have a great season with 278 kills, 218 digs and 34 blocks while Megan Hopkins has collected 213 kills and 89 blocks.  Maddie Lohmeier has 801 assists while Jessie Thornton has 379 digs.

Youngstown State: The Penguins are currently 7-17, 1-9 with seven straight losses after winning 3-2 at Valparaiso in late September.  Wright State won the earlier match 3-0 at WSU. YSU has two players with more than 200 kills—Lori Vanbeek at 299 and Sam Brown at 213.  Vanbeek has 91 blocks.

Oakland: The Grizzlies are 15-9, 7-3, coming off a 3-2 loss at UIC.  OU won at WSU earlier in the season 3-1.  Oakland has three players with 200-plus kills—Melissa Deatsch, Sammy Condon and Darien Bandel.  Krysteena Davis has 105 blocks.

Looking Ahead: The Raiders come home to host Milwaukee Friday and UIC Saturday next week.
