After a cancellation due to the weather Wednesday night, the Wright State women’s soccer team will host UIC Saturday at 4 pm for Senior Day. The game will be shown live on ESPN3.
Wright State: The Raiders, 6-7-2 and 4-1-1, are coming off a 2-0 loss at Milwaukee last Saturday. Aaliyah Patten (3g, 4a) and Sarah Colvin (3g, 4a) each have 10 points. Goalie Katie Ruff, a three-time Defensive Horizon League Player of the Week, has a 1.35 goals against average overall.
The Raiders will honor seniors Katie Ruff and Paige Aguilera before the game.
UIC: The Flames are currently 5-9-2 and 3-4, losing to Northern Kentucky (4-0) and Valparaiso (2-1) recently. WSU won last year’s tilt 1-0 in Chicago. Rebeca Pallo leads the Flames with 13 points (6g, 1a) as Emily Wauer has nine points (3g, 3a). Kelly Fritz has spent the most time in the nets and has a 1.42 goals against average in nine games.
