Volleyball Hits the Road

The Wright State volleyball team will hit the road for a match at Valparaiso Friday at 7 pm and at Northern Kentucky Sunday at 4 pm.  Both will be shown on ESPN3.

Wright State: The Raiders currently are 8-13 and 3-5 after falling to Cleveland State at home and Green Bay on the road.  Katie Klusman continues to have a great season with 230 kills, 167 digs and 28 blocks while Megan Hopkins has collected 182 kills and 77 blocks.  Maddie Lohmeier has 661 assists while Jessie Thornton has 330 digs.

Valparaiso: The Crusaders, 10-14, 2-6, defeated Chicago State Tuesday night 3-0.  Valpo’s two league wins have come at UIC and at Oakland while WSU won on October 8 at Wright State 3-2.  The Raiders came back from a 2-0 deficit for the win.  VU has been led by Katherine Carson’s 258 kills followed by Taylor Graboski’s 245 kills and 59 blocks.

Northern Kentucky:  The Norse, 11-8, 5-3, have won five straight and will play at Valpo Saturday afternoon before hosting WSU Sunday afternoon.  NKU defeated the Raiders 3-0 on October 9 in Dayton.  Keely Creamer has 210 kills and 50 blocks while Haley Libs has 196 kills

Looking Ahead: The Raiders will stay on the road to play at Youngstown State and Oakland next weekend.
