Wright State sophomore outfielder Hanna Floyd has been selected as the Horizon League Softball Batter of the Week, it was announced Monday by the league office
Floyd (Minster, OH/Minster) led the Raiders at the plate with an .857 batting average and a .875 on-base percentage as WSU won two of three games in a home series against league-leader Valparaiso.
In the Saturday doubleheader against the Crusaders, Floyd went one for two in the first game and a perfect three for three in the second game with a triple, two runs scored and two RBI. In the series finale on Sunday, she was two for two, including a two-run double in the second as Wright State won the game 3-0.
Wright State (15-28, 10-6 Horizon) heads to IUPUI for a Wednesday doubleheader starting at 4:00 before hosting Cleveland State in a three-game Horizon League series to close out the regular season starting on Saturday.
