The Wright State tennis programs will hold their Senior Days on Saturday as both the men and women host Green Bay at the WSU Tennis Courts.
The Raider men will honor seniors Dan Hyman, Hayden Joblin and Michal Lyzwa after their 3:00 match against the Phoenix. Joblin has compiled 65 singles victories over the course of his Wright State career while Lyzwa has recorded 43 wins and Hyman 30.
WSU (10-12, 4-1 Horizon) is in the running for one of the top seeds in next week's Horizon League Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as the Raiders are currently second behind Green Bay (14-7, 4-0 Horizon) while Cleveland State (12-7, 3-1) is third. The Phoenix visit Detroit on Friday before coming to Wright State on Saturday while the Vikings close out the regular season this weekend at UIC and Valparaiso.
On the women’s side, the Raiders will honor seniors Chelsea Girgash and Liz Steingass after their 10:00 match with the Phoenix. Over the course of their careers, Girgash registered 35 victories while Steingass recorded 26.
Currently 8-15 overall and 2-4 in league play, the Raiders host league-leading Milwaukee (12-8, 6-1 Horizon) on Friday at 3:00 before taking on Green Bay on Saturday. WSU is currently is sixth in the league standings and the top six teams advance to next week's Horizon League Championship, which, like the men, will be held in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
