Grant Named HL Female Runner of the Week

Junior Kacia Grant has been selected as the Horizon League Female Runner of the Week for the week ending April 6, it was announced Tuesday by the league office.

Grant (Reynoldsburg, OH/Reynoldsburg) posted two top two finishes last Saturday at the Ohio Cherry Blossom Invitational. She won the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.27, besting a field of 22 competitors, and placed second out of 26 in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.33.

Grant also was part of the 4x100 meter relay team that finished third and the 4x400 meter relay team that placed fourth.

The 25.27 in the 200 meter dash is the third-best in the league so far this season and Grant also has the third-best time in the 100 meter dash with her 12.19 at the USF Open on March 13.

Wright State returns to action on Friday and Saturday, April 11-12, at the All-Ohio Championships in Cincinnati.
