Basketball in Action This Week

Men’s basketball will host two games this week while women’s basketball travels to the Gulf Coast Showcase in Florida.

 

Men’s Basketball:  The Raiders will host Alcorn State Wednesday night at 7 pm and Western Carolina Saturday at 3 pm. 

Wright State is currently 3-3 overall after going 2-2 in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic.  Steven Davis led the way in WSU’s win over Houston Baptist with 17 points as Miles Dixon added 16 and Reggie Arceneaux finished with 15 points.  AJ Pacher led WSU with 18 points in the South Alabama loss while Cole Darling and Dixon each had 11 points.  Dixon leads the team in scoring at 10.8 points per game and Pacher sits at 10.7 points per game.

The Billy Donlon Show will air live on the Horizon League Network from Woodman Fricker's Monday from 6-7 pm.

 

Women’s Basketball:  The Raiders are currently 5-1, riding a three-game winning streak.  WSU will play this week in the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Florida, starting with a matchup against NC State on Friday at 2:30.

WSU defeated Marian in the first game of the tournament at home Sunday 90-37.  They were led by Kim Demmings’ 17 points.  Demmings, the Horizon League Preseason Player of the Year, continues to lead at 22.2 points per game while Ivory James sits at 21.7 points per game.  Tayler Stanton averages 10.5 rebounds.

All home games will be carried live on the Horizon League Network and all men’s games will be on Big 106.5 FM.  For tickets, click here.
