Andrew Connolly, a senior from Highland Village, Texas, has signed a national letter of intent to attend Wright State and play tennis for the Raider next fall, WSU head coach Sean McCaffrey has announced.
Connolly, a four-star player training at the T Bar M Tennis Academy, is ranked as the #11 player in Texas and 138th nationally. He has posted a record of 38-21 overall with two wins over five-star players.
"We are thrilled to have Andrew join the Raider tennis family,” McCaffrey said. “Andrew impressed me very early in the recruiting process with his passion for the game, his level of dedication and commitment to improving, and perhaps most of all his desire to come to Wright State University and work to win a Horizon League Championship. Andrew has a great deal of USTA National and ITF International experience, so he will be joining the program here at Wright State ready to compete."
Wright State opens the 2014 spring portion of its schedule on Saturday, January 25, as the Raiders host SIU Edwardsville at the South Regency Tennis Center starting at 3:30.
